Most of us have left. That is not a loss, it is what our families worked for. But a community scattered across four continents needs somewhere to hold its own record. This is that place.

Where the water sits today was dry land — a plain connecting this coast to Bhavnagar. Then the Ice Age ended, the seas rose, and it went under. Elders still speak of a time when people walked to Bhavnagar. That sounded like folklore until the maps of the ancient coastline were drawn.
In 2001, researchers found a submerged settlement on the seafloor 27 kilometres from here. The artifacts may be 9,500 years old.
